On a trip to Cinque Terre this summer, on the advice of a lady who sells handmade bags, we ended up in this small restaurant. The best fish soup I've ever eaten. Excellent choice of wines and delicious homemade cakes. Owners very kind and nice to explain the dishes to choose. Recommended.

Food quality was good but it was expensive! 200 Euros for 6 people - 4 pastas, 4 mains 1 bottle of wine. Best things were the massive plate of mussels, grilled swordfish, grilled and fried calamari. Pastas were ok - pesto has anchovy in it so dont order if you dont like fish. It’s in a small alley in the center of town. It was recommended by our airbnb owner so I think it’s one of the better places in town.

Food is fresh and very good, it’s definitely not your common touristy restaurant.They have daily suggestions depending on the fresh fish arrivals We loved the cosy ambiance they created with locally made ceramic plates.Greatest seafood salad and scampi gnocchi

One of the worst situations in Monterosso. Aesthetically it looks good ... But with a really low quality of food. Very little and greasy fried ... Prices far too high compared to the proposal. The service .... Among the worst ever.

Had an absolutely beautiful lunch here. We had the mussels and the seafood pasta. Fresh, friendly (even though it was super busy) and delicious. I have a question though, we had some really good local white wine, it was only served in a small bottle 500ml. Can you tell me the name? I would love to find it again. Thank you!

The food was good but the portions were tiny and completely overpriced. We ordered a "secondo" that for the size should have been an "antipasto." They charge €3 for table service, which is twice what I've been charged in similar places. I've been told this was a familiar restaurant where there wasn't a fixed menu because the owner improvised everyday; honestly, it seems like another touristic place.

Once it was amazing, now they have gone far behind. ..nothing special. Sin!

I do not recommend. Terrible attendance. One day it had not yet closed and they said it was not fit. The next day we asked for a table outside, there was one free and they said it was not possible because it could rain and after a long wait we saw that at the table we were waiting were two people already seated. Maximum dislike. I do not buy !!

We were firstly disappointed to see that 80% of the menu (everything except pasta and anchovies) were frozen.Pastas were not fresh.And the waitress was more occupied chatting rather than taking care of her customers.It was very expensive for low quality food, and they do not take the credit card !

The food is excellent as well as the place is very cool. The treatment of the staff very good with us but it was not so for two oriental tourists sitting near us who were belittled and treated very poorly with comments from the waitress in Italian not quite professional. A pity getting lost in this details.

Extremely good. I highly recommend this restaurant for people who aren't looking to spend a small fortune but want to have a great meal. Location isn't on a main street so you don't get a bunch of people just stumbling into the restaurant.

A favorite little restaurant 2 minutes from our apartment.

Unfortunately food isn't good . We had Fritio misto which was avrage and looked a bit sad and flat. Next course was Spagetti alla vongle and pasta with pesto alla genoveise . Vongle was bad . Needed salt and more flavor and pesto was lacking salt . I wouldn't recommed this restaurant . Service was nice and resteurant look really nice .

Small venue, suitable for groups of a few people. Very fresh and well cooked fish, especially fried fish. Pasta allo scoglio to be reviewed (they could have put a little more fish). Good appetizers. Sweet to close the meal excellent .. Too bad they don't serve coffee. Friendly and polite service.

The best restaurant for typical Monterosso food ! Pasta sauce comes from outer space and the fish is fresh as if it just came out of the sea...This restaurant made me rediscover the concept of tiramisu ! I totally recommend it!

So nice here, you could spend weeks here. Unfortunately, everything is overly expensive.

Great small restaurant!

We went on Sunday for lunch and maybe it's not the right day because there is no catch of the day (but maybe this is also a good thing). An octopus with potatoes, muscles marinara + bottle of wine and bitter offered = 45 € ... mmhmhmm. The service is unfortunately Ligurian, or with infinite margins of improvement. Excellent restaurant for casual tourists!

In the heart of the old town an enchanted place you eat very well very fresh fish a few dishes small but warm and enveloping service good prices within the limits I highly recommend you will not be disappointed.

Local foods (locally caught) cooked with skill and taste. Also taken care of the aesthetic aspect of the service. The choice of wines also tends towards local niche productions. Be highly recommended!

The worst racism ive ever experienced. Never ever visit this place. Even though there were totally empty tables in the restaurante, they let me wait for those empty tables to be available. Also they just gave me only menu and didnt reply my call while taking an order from others, prattling with others, making tables available for next customers and even prattling with local people. Unbelievavle experience ever, recommend not to choose this one.

Among all the tourist traps in Monterosso Oscar is finally a place with their own style. Great pasta vongole.
